Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a combat sport and martial art that concentrates on locks and holds which allow a smaller, weaker and less physically able person to subdue a larger stronger individual. Today BJJ is probably the fastest growing martial art on the planet due in large part to the popularity of mixed martial arts events like the UFC or Balletor, BJJ being a key element for any prospective MMA fighter.
UMMAH BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu} is open to anyone no matter what your motivations for training; we can provide a basis for:
Weight Loss
Fitness
Self Defence
Competitions (BJJ, MMA etc)
We train in a relaxed, friendly environment where everyone is there to help and support each other.  While it is not mandatory to compete you will be training alongside people who have tested their skills in competitions ranging from local grappling or MMA competitions to the IBJJF European Championships and Pro MMA in front of a big audience.

 

Most of our lessons follow the same format 10 - 20 Minutes warm up followed by 40 Minutes of Technique (First Standing Takedowns then Ground Techniques) and finally 30 minutes of sparring! Once a month we do a full session of sparring on a random lesson chosen by the coaches
